1teaspoonorange zest(about half of an orange worth)
1/2teaspoonsalt
1/2teaspoonpaprika
1/8teaspoonliquid smoke
Instructions
Combine all ingredients in a food processor or blender. Blend for about 30 seconds or until ingredients are incorporated.
Scrape the sides down and continue blending for another 1-2 minutes, or until you've reached your desired consistency.
Notes
For a smoother hummus, remove the skins of each chickpea before blending. I NEVER do this, but it's an option if you want to be fancy!If your hummus is too thick or not blending properly, slowly add a spoonful or two of water while the blender is running to thin it out or get things moving.For a little extra sweetness, drizzle another spoonful of maple syrup on top before serving.
