Everyone loves red and green cookies for the holidays, but not everyone knows what chemicals are lurking in those store-bought food dyes. I know, harsh way to start off a recipe post, but I’m pretty sure you wouldn’t be here on my blog if you didn’t care about what’s in your food, right? These Tri-Color…

DIY Superfood Breakfast Cereal
DIY Superfood Breakfast Cereal is one of those recipes that once you try it, it will be in your repertoire forever. I am so excited to share this one with you guys because I’ll admit I was definitely in a breakfast rut lately. The same old smoothies over and over again, not too exciting right?…
5-Minute Vegan Chickpea Salad
Let’s talk Chickpea Salad. I never really ate much fish but before I was vegan I did dabble in some tuna salad sandwiches (yuck!). After becoming vegan, it was easy to give up but I’ll admit I loved that combo. The crunchy whole wheat bread, the crunchy salty salad on the inside. Once I had…
Banana Matcha Milkshake
My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard…and by boys, I mean vegans of any gender who love dessert. I had so much fun testing this recipe and that is in large part due to New Barn’s Organic Banana & Chocolate Chip Almondcreme aka best vegan ice cream ever. This flavor is by far…
Zoodles with Lemon-Herb Cashew Cream
Real talk; I have to admit that I can get a little lazy when it comes to cooking in the summer months. It’s too hot to turn on the oven, and I’d rather spend more time outside than in the kitchen cleaning dishes. In the winter, I don’t mind spending 2-3 hours on a fancy in-depth dinner, but this time of year, I’m looking for quick, easy, oven-free recipes.

My house is drafty so on a cold morning, sometimes the only thing to get me out of bed is the thought of a giant, warm, delicious, savory bowl of vegetables. I love a potato bowl for any meal, but adding fresh brussels sprouts and chickpeas makes this one of my favorite and most nourishing breakfasts to enjoy during the winter.
This breakfast is so filling, so easy, takes only 20-30 minutes, and best of all, uses just one pan which makes for a lazier day in pajamas with fewer dishes to wash. Win-win right?
Vegan Purple Cauliflower Soup
This has got to be one of the most delicious and easy soups I have made all year. I totally stumbled into this cauliflower soup the other day, when I came home from the farm with a few too many heads of gorgeous purple cauliflower. My instinct is usually to roast, so I almost went to throw it in the oven as I usually do, but I decided to try something different and wow, am I glad that I did!
